- Clarence E. McQueen, 96, 1838 Highway 133, Shady Valley, Tennessee, passed away Thursday morning at the Mountain City Health Care. He was a native of Shady Valley, a son of the late Cornelius and Anna Montgomery McQueen. He was a member of the Methodist Church, a member of the Masonic Lodge and was former owner of McQueen Tile and Flooring in Hazard, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by a son, Buddy Gene McQueen, a daughter, Douglas Louise Chiles.
Survivors include one sister, Gienna Trent, Kingsport, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and interment were conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. from the McQueen Cemetery in Shady Valley, Tennessee with Jim Hutchinson officiating.
