Isaac Forkner was a Methodist minister, serving in North Carolina, East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. A campground in Scott County, VA, is named after him. A sketch of his life is found in 'History of Methodism in the Holston Conference', byIsaac Patton Martin. Marriage Records of Surry County, NC, show that he was married to Sarah Ellis on 11 Sep 1813, with Surety Bondsman listed as Ransom Dudley.
