Mann, Daniel D
Daniel D Mann died Aug 29, 1961 at Odessa Memorial hospital. He was born Jan 12, 1895 and spent most of his life in this area. He is survived by his widow, Mary, at the home in Harrington; son Elmer; sisters, Mrs Mary Grams, Mrs Emma Kissler and Mrs Minnie Worden; brothers, Mike, Bill and Emanuel. Interment will be in Hillcrest. (Citizen-31Aug 1961) Mr Mann was born at Leipsig, Russia. With his parents, Mr & Mrs Daniel Mann, Sr, he came to the US in about 1909. In Oct 1910 he was confirmed into the church at Ralston. In 1935 he married Mary Schmidt. They purchased a farm 10 miles south of Harrington and retired in 1953. As an infantryman in the army in WW I, Mann served in the European Theater nine months. (Citizen-7 Sept 1961)

Daniel married Marie Schmidt on 25 Jan 1925. Marie (daughter of Heinrich (Henry) Schmidt and Marie (Reisbich) Reisbig) was born on 28 Jan 1898 in Walla Walla, , Washington, United States; died on 30 May 1974 in Harrington, , Washington, United States; was buried in Hillcrest Cemetery, Lincoln County, Washington, United States.
