Jane Booth

Notes:

Jane Booth was born April 19, 1782 in Virginia. Earlier English spelling of the family name was "Boothe." Jane's parents were Joseph Boothe (born in Pennsylvania) and Sarah Dutton (born in Virginia). The Boothe family moved to Virginia while it was still a British colony. In the mid-1790s, the family moved to Washington County, Tenn., near Jonesborough (before Tennessee was a state).

In 1802, Jane married Joseph Keicher in Washington County where they raised their family, which is documented on Joseph's memorial (linked below).

Jane had 8 siblings (3 brothers and 5 sisters). Brothers Joseph II and and John are buried in Washington County.

The Jonesborough Genealogy Society has a well researched online posting of Joseph Boothe's descendants, many of whom still live in Washington and Unicoi counties.
